Standard Content Metadata

This tool is used for bulk updates of standard content part numbers and descriptions.

First, select the standard content component to edit. Download both the CSV Template and Parameters list. The Parameters list provides possible values for each configuration parameter. The CSV Template is a sample format required for upload.

Notes:

  • 10 examples are shown; they are not required.
  • The header and filename should not be modified.
  • Your browser may modify the filename (for example, by adding (1)); check this before upload.
  • Column order should not change.
  • Delimiter must be a comma.
  • Regional settings can save CSVs with ; instead.
  • Excel can corrupt data by converting values like 1/4-1/7 into numbers or dates.

Step 2: upload the modified template file. This may take moments or several minutes depending on the number of rows modified.

  • Currently only ANSI, DIN, and ISO standards are supported.
  • Not all possible configurations are supported by Onshape.
